Sustainable Advertising Principles

  1. Purpose

At Air New Zealand we are committed to supercharging New Zealand’s success socially, economically and environmentally. To do this, we are committed to the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility and ethical conduct.

We expect all companies advertising within Air New Zealand publications, including our inflight KiaOra magazine, to comply fully with all applicable laws and regulations. This includes when conducting business with Air New Zealand or with third parties working on our behalf, for example publishers.

In addition, Air New Zealand seeks to engage with companies who share our commitment and approach to conducting business in a sustainable way. These Advertising Sustainability Principles are intended to support the continued application of our commitment to advance social, environmental and ethical responsibility beyond our own operations. We encourage, and expect that, all companies advertising within KiaOra magazine will be actively pursuing opportunities to improve their sustainable business practices, and that they will transparently communicate this progress. These same principles apply to Air New Zealand’s business conduct, as encapsulated in our Code of Conduct, and apply to all suppliers via our Supplier Code of Conduct.

Air New Zealand intends to work with publishing partners to implement these Advertising Sustainability Principles and ensure sustainability and brand alignment of products and services being advertised within KiaOra magazine.
